BELLVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCES 8TH GRADE REGISTRATION
In the next two weeks, Bellville High School will be working with eighth grade students as they begin preparation for the coming school year, 2014-2015. Beginning on Tuesday, February 18, counselors will visit with eighth grade students during the school day. Students will receive a registration packet to review with parents. Two Parent Informational Meetings will be held at the BHS Auditorium, beginning at 6:30 pm. One meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, February 18 and another meeting will be held Thursday evening, February 20. New graduation plans that take effect for the freshmen class of 2014-2015 will be outlined. Parents are strongly encouraged to come and hear one of the presentations as they plan for high school courses.
To further assist parents and students in the planning process, high school counselors will be available to address concerns and questions on Thursday and Friday, February 20 and 21 at Bellville Junior High. Parents and students are welcome to visit anytime during regular school hours, no appointment is necessary. Counselors will also be available during the evening on those two days from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Completed student registration packets should be turned in on Friday, February 21.
The following week, Monday, February 24, will be the first day for students to work with the counselors as requests are entered. Students are advised to choose courses wisely as teaching staff is determined based on the courses selected. Once requests are entered, students will receive a printout of requested courses, as well as selected alternatives. Changes to requests must be submitted no later than Friday, May 30 for the coming school year.

The Bellville FFA Wildlife Judging Team finished first and fourth in the San Antonio Wildlife Contest on Friday Feb.21st. Matthew Luedeker earned high point individual and received a $10,000 scholarship as well as Wyatt Blezinger who earned a $10,000 scholarship for finishing second. Also on the team was Tucker Long. Finishing fourth was the Junior team that consisted on Gabriel Janish- third high individual, Ben Shupak, Cole Moses, and Dauson Wittner.

Congratulations go out to our FFA Wildlife Team that competed at the San Antonio Judging Contest this weekend. Our senior team placed first with Matthew Luedeker earning high point individual and receiving a $10,000 scholarship. Also receiving a $10,000 scholarship for placing second was Wyatt Blezinger. Tucker Long was the third member of the team.

BELLVILLE HIGH SCHOOL ANNOUNCES REGISTRATION
Bellville High School announces that its registration process for the 2014-2015 school year will be taking place in the coming weeks. On Monday, February 3, the registration process will begin with counselor presentations to current 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students. Each student will receive the 2014-2015 Course Selection Guide which includes academic and elective course descriptions to assist with the selection of classes. Monday evening, February 3, Bellville High School will host a Parent Informational Meeting for students currently in grades 9, 10, and 11. This event will be held at 6:30 pm in the BHS Library. Topics to be covered include graduation requirements, testing regulations and college considerations. Counselors will be available regular school hours and from 4:30 to 6:00 pm on Wednesday and Thursday, February 5 and 6 to address specific parent questions. Students will enter course requests the following week.
Registration will continue with incoming freshmen on Tuesday, February 18. Counselors will visit with 8th grade students during the day and a Parent Informational Meeting will be held that evening at the BHS Auditorium, beginning at 6:30. New graduation plans that take effect with for 2014-2015 will be outlined. Counselors will be available for specific parent questions at the junior high campus on Thursday and Friday, February 20 and 21, during regular school hours and from 4:30 to 6:00 pm. Eighth grade students will enter their course requests the following week.
