Child Guidance

The Child Guidance class is an opportunity for younger students to interact with older, positive role models.  This class provides students with background knowledge of child development principles as well as principles of effective teaching practices.  Students in Child Guidance work under the joint direction and supervisions of both the high school teacher and a primary/intermediate teacher.  The students are involved in observations as well as direct instruction. Child Guidance is an extension of the PALS class with more emphasis on teaching in a school setting.
