Ms. Franks' Class

Welcome to Forensics and Anatomy & Physiology!

My Name is
Stacy Franks

Stacy Franks

I am so excited to be teaching at Bellville High School this year!  Before deciding to pursue teaching, I was an industry professional in the oil and gas sector.  I graduated from Fort Hays State University in Hays, Kansas with a bachelors degree in Chemistry and minor in Biology.  Towards the end of my college career, I substitute taught all grades and all subjects and enjoyed it immensely - especially the high school level.  After graduating, I spent a few years working as a QC chemist for a manufacturing plant in Kansas.  Eventually, I moved to Texas and began working for a service company in oil and gas as a formation damage chemist and later on as a reservoir technology lab manager.

Teaching has always been a passion of mine which is why I am very excited to be here!  My husband Michael and I live in Katy as well as my son Morgan who just graduated high school this year and is about to join the Navy.  I am looking forward to meeting and getting to know each of you better.

Tutoring:  I will be available before school by request and immediately after school until 4:00  during the week.  Please be courteous and let me know ahead of time if you plan on staying after school for extra help.

Exams and Make-up Work:

Exams will be administered on even days of the month.  If you are absent the day of the exam, be prepared to take the exam when you return.  Students who are absent must complete the missed work within a maximum of 5 days.  All missed labs, quizzes, and tests MUST be made up before the next test or a grade of 0 will be given for the missed work.  If you fail a test (below a 70), you will be allowed to take a retest.  The better score of the retest or original test will be recorded up to a maximum grade of 70.

 Late Work:

Daily work and homework will be collected and possibly taken for a grade.  Late work will be accepted up to 1 day late for a maximum grade of 70%.
