BHS UIL Academic Coordinator: Andrew Jennings
The University Interscholastic League (UIL) offers the most comprehensive academic competition program in the nation. UIL Academics includes 29 high school-level contests—more than any other UIL division—and engages more than half a million students each year.
These academic activities complement the classroom curriculum by motivating students to deepen their knowledge, tackle meaningful and complex issues, and demonstrate mastery of specific skills. Participants are challenged to think critically and creatively, showcasing far more than simple knowledge or comprehension.
